DOROTHY BROWN, a portrait and landscape artist, has had a life-long interest in art and has worked in almost every media, eventually choosing to concentrate on oils and pastels. Short courses at various art schools (Doon, Buckhorn, Actinolite) and workshops with numerous professional artist provided Dorothy with a solid background in colour and design. For several years she enjoyed sharing her knowledge with others by teaching at night school and in her own home. Dorothy has exhibited in numerous galleries throughout Eastern Ontario and her work hangs in many private collections in Canada, United States and Great Britain. In 1997 she had a solo exhibition in the Belleville Library Gallery. (Hits: 1099)
