10 Shades of Grey
Monday’s shading class, shown here, studied three objects of various textures. In Ten Shades of Grey we looked at the vocabulary of shading, different tools used, the effects of various papers and pencils. Shown here are the participants hard at work on their quick studies. Joan Reive Honoured by City
Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk recently presented an award to Joan Reive for her outstanding contributions to the arts in Belleville.
Joan has been a member of the Belleville Art Association for over 50 years teaching, mentoring and sharing her expertise in countless ways. Joan is a painter and fibre artist and has recently added polymer clay jewelry to her repertoire.
The award was presented at the recently held Mayor’s Luncheon for the Arts.
Painting Party with Audrey
Several enthusiastic painters enjoyed the first painting party to be held at the new Gallery. Under the help from class leader Audrey Thomas, the students painted some amazing winter landscapes.
