Join Jacob Brown for an Introduction to Acrylic Painting at the Belleville Art Association Gallery, a two-session workshop on April 12 and 19 from 1–4 PM. Designed especially for beginners, this small-group class (max 8 participants) offers a welcoming introduction to acrylic techniques and creative expression.
Join Briana Godden for The Power of Greyscale, a hands-on workshop exploring how working without colour can enhance depth, contrast, and mood in your artwork. On May 14 from 1–4 PM at the Parrott Gallery Workroom, you’ll learn to strengthen composition and create more expressive pieces through light, shadow, and tonal range. Open to all skill levels, with space limited to 16 participants.
Celebrate spring at the Belleville Art Association’s May Flowers exhibition, featuring original artwork inspired by blooming flowers and the season of renewal. Join us for the opening reception on May 9 from 2–4 PM at 208 Front Street in Belleville, meet the artists, and enjoy light refreshments. The show runs from May 5 to June 6, and everyone is welcome.
Join Raiders of the Lost Art, a free art treasure hunt open to all on Saturday, May 9, from noon to 4 PM. Pick up your map at the Belleville Art Association Gallery (208 Front Street), then explore 30 participating downtown businesses in search of hidden artworks. If you discover a piece, you’ll also receive a ballot for a chance to win a BAA Gallery gift certificate—come out and enjoy the hunt!
