Julie Lower

Artist

I am drawn to transitions: the spaces between, the moments of change, the silence between the milestones. This is where the magic is and the truth lies, where we see who we really are and where we actually exist.

I attempt to interpret these transitions through mystical landscapes inspired by my journey through life. My works represented here are all in oil and cold wax, a medium that lends itself to textures and unexpected happenings. I also work with acrylic and watercolour, but sometimes, other materials jump into creations.

It is all about belonging and connection to my space and to the viewer. We all will see and feel something different and will be drawn, inexplicably, to one shape or another. May we enjoy the process and travel.
